The Sigma 20mm 1.8 Like Most Lenses from This Brand is a Little Bulky

Friday, January 27th, 2012

The Sigma 20mm 1.8 like most lenses from this brand is a little bit bulky but constructed from high quality materials and very sturdy to hold. If there is one thing that you will not have to worry about with this lens is it falling apart on you. It is also a tad heavy but this is to be expected considering how much glass you are getting for your money. The first thing I did when I was testing out this lens was to shoot at f/1.8 in order to check the corner sharpness. I have heard a lot of reports that as great as this lens is it is also very soft around the edges when shooting wide. I do not know if I was just lucky but all the shots I took had very sharp corners and so I ended up buying the lens. It has really proven its worth indoors when there is not enough light for other lenses to really function properly.
